Happy/Merry Christmas is 'Glædelig Jul'!!! in Danish. Copenhagen is where we stayed for the holidays this year with the kids. It is very kid friendly and fun for the whole family. We loved the Tivoli Gardens (a winter wonderland), where there was lots of lights, rides, game activities, food, and lot's of Glogg drinking (basically mulled wine) It's tasty, but pace yourself since it's VERY STRONG!! Tivoli Gardens was also and inspiration to Walt Disney for Disneyland.
There are 125 public playgrounds and children-friendly attractions set for families/kids. Copenhagen is a city designed to match the needs for kids and their parents Whether it's soaking up holiday cheer at Christmas markets, Ice skating, Going on a day Trip from Copenhagen to Visit Fairytale Castles, relax in a hot sauna, exploring the Winter Wonderland in Tivoli Gardens, strolling down Kronprinsensgade. or falling in love with Nyhavn.
Before heading off to Copenhagen, we were warned that it's among the most expensive destinations in the world, but after going their we didn't find that was the case. It might be a bit higher than the average, but I would certainly not put it as the most expensive.
We stayed at the VERY KID FRIENDLY Copenhagen Marriott Hotel
They had a kid playroom that was honestly a life savor for those in between times. Their breakfast buffet was also great and they had a beautiful outdoor space right on the waterfront.
