PARIS

Updated: Nov 30, 2020

Ahhhhh Paris!  The lights, the art, the food, the fashion, the shopping, and the architecture!  What a better place to be than Paris for our 3 year anniversary (minus the twins).

Anthony and I both have been to Paris, but not together, so being that it's our wedding anniversary, we decided that it would be the place to be. We only had 3 days,  but we made the best of our time by trying some great restaurants, shopping and walking around this great city!

One of our favorite restaurants on this trip was Semilla.  Cozy, inviting restaurants, with great food and service! It's located in the St. Germain area, which is a great area for restaurants, cafe's, walking, and people watching.   You can't really go wrong in this area.

Shopping is a must in Paris, but don't get fooled into the tourist trap of going to the av. des champs-Élysées.  Although it's a beautiful street, it's streets like Avenue Montaigne, is where the haute couture really lies.

I was treated to a few goodies from the beautiful boutique of Barbara Bui.  This great French/Vietnamese designer along with her husband, have a beautiful aesthetic style with their accessories and clothing.  If you do stop by, make sure to ask for Kristina.

If clothing is not your thing, than you should check out  St. Ouen Flea market, where they carry;  furniture, vintage clothing, and other little unique finds.  Be aware that there are 2 parts of this flea market:

1. The sketchy part with random items that you most likely will find on the side of the street

2. The "real" finds with great furniture, vintage pieces, art, and great restaurants.

While we were at the flea market, we found a fabulous place for brunch - Ma Cocette

A great little spot, with great food, people watching, and the best Mojito I have ever had.

Paris is very romantic and walkable.  It's great to plan things out, but the best part about Paris is just walking around and being pleasantly surprised by the unexpected.
